Clean your yoga mat regularly to stay healthy and for a hygienic environment.

Washing and laundry:

The mat can be wiped with a damp sponge or sprayed with an antibacterial spray.

The mat can be rinsed in the shower with warm water, using a neutral detergent. After washing, let the water drain. Since rubber has a porous structure, it absorbs water like a sponge.

Do not leave the mat on a radiator or dryer, do not dry it with a hair dryer. If stains appear on the mat after washing, wipe/wash it again. It is possible that the mat has absorbed excess soap.

Rugs up to 2 mm can be machine washed at temperatures up to 30C without spinning in the most delicate mode, but remember that not all washing machines have a delicate mode. There have been cases when our customers' rugs received surface damage after washing in a washing machine. Machine washing is at your own risk.

Can be washed with neutral detergents and folded without damaging the material.

We recommend hand washing 4 and 6 mm mats only.

To dry the rubber mat faster after washing, it is important to rinse it thoroughly, put it in a vertical position, which will allow the soapy water to flow down in 5-10 minutes. Soap stains that remain along the edges of the mat can be easily cleaned with a soft sponge. After this, you can dry the mat. When drying, it is important to spread the mat so that creases and cracks do not form on it.

We recommend using special spray cleaners for rugs.

For TPE Material Mats:

The operation and care of the Shakti yoga mats are similar to the Salamander mats. However, the TPE material is not machine washable, we strongly ask you not to use mechanical washing and spinning for these mats.

Mats made of dense PVC foam can be washed in a washing machine at a temperature of up to 30C without using spinning in the most delicate mode with neutral detergents.
