Umrah is a holy journey, it has great importance in the Muslim world. There is no fixed period, it can be performed throughout the year. Umrah can be performed in 7 days and at maximum, it can be performed in 30 days. The duration of Umrah depends upon the Umrah package. There are different Umrah packages on different days. It depends on pilgrims to choose the duration of Umrah according to their needs and desire. Umrah visa holders can visit other cities of the country during the 30-day Umrah visa period. But they have to spend 15 days in Makkah and Madina to visit the two Holy mosques, then they can visit any city or any region in the Kingdom. But this relaxation is only available to the people who come on 30 days Cheap December Umrah Packages.

According to the new law passed by the Saudi Ministry of Umrah, pilgrims can visit Riyadh on an Umrah visa.

Restriction due to the pandemic:

In past, pilgrims were not allowed to travel anywhere in Saudi Arabia. They were restricted to the cities of Makkah and Madina due to the global pandemic. They were not allowed to go outside of these two holy cities.

Umrah pilgrims can travel across Saudi cities:

Umrah was resumed for the Saudi pilgrims because of the pandemic. On March 2022, the minister of Umrah and Hajj officially announced that pilgrims of Umrah can visit other cities other than Makkah and Madina. The Government has allowed the pilgrims of Umrah to visit Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Pilgrims that have 30 days of Umrah visa spend half of their days on religious commitments. They fulfill their religious duties. After 15 days they have a lot of time to visit the other beautiful cities of the country. This is the main reason proposed by Abdul Fattah Mashat for letting Umrah visa holders visit other cities.

Vaccination is compulsory:

Pilgrims that have Umrah visas are required to present proof of vaccination upon their arrival at the Kingdom. Their vaccination certificates should be attested by an official health authority. This vaccination certificate is also necessary to visit Riyadh or other cities of the country.

Umrah visa holders can visit Riyadh:

There are many popular tourist places in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh is top of them, and it is one of the wealthiest cities in the World. This is the capital city of Saudi Arabia and its main financial hub. Pilgrims are happy to receive permission to visit Riyadh during the Umrah tour. A Popular attraction of Riyadh is both the Sky Bridge of the Kingdom Center and the Faisal Tower. National Museum, Al Masmak palace, Diriyah Museum, and Riyadh national zoo are popular tourist attractions. After performing Umrah, pilgrims can visit Riyadh and other cities of the Kingdom.

When the government eased travel restrictions completely, they saw a sudden and great increase in Umrah visas. Almost 25,000 umrah visas were issued in just 4 days. The Saudi government is giving as many visas to people from all across the world, So Muslims can perform Umrah easily. People can only come to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa through Jeddah, Madina, and Taif International airports. Pilgrims cannot take a direct flight to Riyadh. After performing Umrah using the Umrah Packages all-inclusive and spending 15 days in two holy Mosques, they can take only a domestic flight to Riyadh.
